Glimpse to Bhutan(5night&6days)

Day 01: Arrival to the land of Thunder dragon (Bhutan).

Druk air will bring you the most spectacular view of Himalayan ranges and peaks. Once you land in Paro international Airport, you can only see the beautiful valley and green forest which will give you welcoming fresh air.

Upon Arrival in Paro airport,representative from Bhutan Guidance Tours and Treks will greet you and drive towards capital city of Bhutan or 60km from airport. The sightseeing in Thimphu includes:
  • Memorial stupa built in the memory of late third king of Bhutan in 1974.
  • Folk Heritage museum: Traditional house preserving the forefather's way of living.

Day 02: Thimphu - Punakha

Drive to Punakha valley via Dochula pass which has 108 stupa to celebrate the victory over the militants from neighboring country. On clear day, Dochula gives the clear of Himalayan ranges covered with snow capped. Punakha is the oldest capital of Bhutan and winter residence to monastic Body. First king of Bhutan was coronated in Punakha dzong in 17 December 1907. The following place will be covered in a day:
  • Visit to Chimmi Lhakhang or temple of fertility founded by Divine Mad man.
  • Visit to Punakha dzong built in 1637 in the middle of Male and female river.
  • Longest suspension bridge will give the clear view of valleys and beautiful flowing river.

. Day 03: Punakha - Thimphu

Drive back to Thimphu via Dochula pass which is filled with 108 on beautiful pass. The sightseeing in Thimphu includes:
  • Visit to Buddha Dordenma or 169ft Buddha statue which is considered as second largest Buddha statue in the world.
  • Changankha lhakhag:One of the oldest monastery in Thimphu
  • Takin zoo: To see the national animal of Bhutan.
  • Visit to Tashi chhodzong or office to King and summer residence to monastic body.

Day04: Thimphu - Paro

Drive to paro valley or valley rich in paddy cultivation in Bhutan. Paro is place of first landing to outsider and historical place for Bhutanese. The day will be spend with following visit:
  • Visit to National Musuem of Bhutan filled with fascinating collection of arts, relics, religious thangka painting and Bhutan
  • Visit to Paro Rimpong dzong.
  • Kyichu Lhakhang one of the oldest monastery built in 7th century by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo.

Day 05: (Hike to tigernest or famous monastery)

In the morning, visit to Drukgyel dzong built in 1646 by zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyel to commemorate the victory over the Tibetan Invasions. On a clear day, one can view the beautiful peaks of mountain jhomolhari and valley below the dzong. The day hike will be on Takshang or Tigernest located above 900m from Paro valley. It is said Guru Rimpoche or second Lord Buddha arrive here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this site. The site is recognising for its rich spirituality.

Day 06: Depart from the Land of Thunder Dragon.

Representatives from Bhutan Guidance Tours and Treks will drop to Paro International Airport to reach your onward destination. Once again you will enjoy the beautiful view of Himalayan ranges. Wish you pleasant journey.
